Sun's Output Increasing in Possible Trend Fueling Global Warming

Climate has always changed, the notion that we can "stabilise" global temperatures is not only fallacious it is the height of idiocy. The Earth goes through periodic warming and cooling cycles naturally. Plus there is evidence of global warming on Mars, Jupiter and Neptune and there are no SUVs there! Also, contrary to David de Rothschild on Alex Jones' recent show Mars and Jupiter are further away from the sun. How the hell can you claim to fight for the planet when you don't even know where it is in the Solar System?! We humans think we are so great and know so much, but we are really a primitive child-race only a few stages up on the evolutionary ladder from cave-men and great apes! More CO2 is release from one volcanic eruption than from all of human activity! Ok so I know it's a bit of a negative view and I should have more faith in the Human Spirit but there you go, it's like the smoking ban. The Hegelian Dialectic can be used to understand this. Powerful people want more control but the people will revolt so they create this boogeyman called "global warming" or "smoking" and use it to get us to agree to the very things that they know we wouldn't under normal circumstances. Pure 21st century mind-control BS.

In what could be the simplest explanation for one component of global warming, a new study shows the Sun's radiation has increased by .05 percent per decade since the late 1970s.

The increase would only be significant to Earth's climate if it has been going on for a century or more, said study leader Richard Willson, a Columbia University researcher also affiliated with NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

The Sun's increasing output has only been monitored with precision since satellite technology allowed necessary observations. Willson is not sure if the trend extends further back in time, but other studies suggest it does.

"This trend is important because, if sustained over many decades, it could cause significant climate change," Willson said.

In a NASA-funded study recently published in Geophysical Research Letters, Willson and his colleagues speculate on the possible history of the trend based on data collected in the pre-satellite era.

"Solar activity has apparently been going upward for a century or more," Willson told SPACE.com today.
